9 Reasons We Want to Quit Watching Bigg Boss 9 Right Now

Bigg Boss is a one-stop entertainment show for many of us - be it the difficult tasks or cheering for our favourite contestants. However, we are a little disappointed with the current season. Not only has the show lowered its standards with rubbish tasks, but the contestants too are adding fuel to the dismay. Here are 9 things about this season that left us wanting to quit watching the show.

1. Treating contestants as a dog: We all remember how Rishabh, who entered the house as a wild card entrant, started creating a mess in the house. Mandana and Rishabh took the hotel task a tad too seriously. It was humiliating to watch Kishwer being treated as a dog for hours. It's a task but you can always do it with some dignity, which of course didn't occur to these two contestants.

2. Spitting in food is the new low: Of course, the consequence of treating Kishwer as a dog resulted in her spitting ice cubes in Mandana's juice in the hotel task. This resulted in a big spat in the house, as Mandana wanted to leave the house. How can someone go to such low standards for revenge?

3. Bored contestants: Well apart from a few over-enthusiastic contestants like Mandana, Rochelle, Kishwer, Suyyash and Prince, there other contestants who are just lost in the house. Aman, Diangana and Rimi are contestants who are already done with the show, it seems.

4. Physical abuse: Who can forget Mandana kicking Kishwer? Everyone knows that physical abuse is absolutely against the rules, but it seems the anger and rage of the constants is getting over their minds.

5. Creating fights for screen time: We know fights and arguments are the key ingredients of Bigg Boss, but we can't stand the constant nuisance that is being used to grab screen time. Be it Kishwer or Mandana, the constant nagging is boring.

6. No eye-candy: Let's accept the fact after Keith and Yuvika were evicted, there are no pretty faces to watch, in the show. In fact, they were the ones who were calm to take the game just like a game and not make it a house of scream. We need some good new faces in the show.

7. Need more interesting contestants: With just a few contestants in the house, it's time to get some wild card entries. Rushabh has sustained his stay but Puneet was shown the door and was evicted last week. We need some more contestants to add glam and fun, and raise the entertainment quotient. We don't mind Keith coming back to the show.

8. All are pretentious souls: Keith was one contestant who played fair and square, but after his exit due to family reasons, the show seems to have been filled with jokers, who would go to any extent to win the game.

9. Respect and dignity is nowhere to be seen: We know Bigg Boss is one place where you lose it all, but if there is one thing that we can expect the contestants to hold back, it is their own dignity and respect, and give the same to others. But that too seems to have left us in shock!

After the re-entry of Mandana Karimi in "Bigg Boss 9", the prelude of the next episode saw housemates competing against each other in the captaincy task.

While the viewers must be eagerly waiting to watch the episode on Friday, according to Twitter buzz, Kishwer Merchantt has become the new captain of the house.

Based on the Shararati Bachen task, Rimi Sen was asked to nominate three best contenders. She chose Kishwer, Rochelle Rao and Prince Narula. The three contestants had to compete against each other for the captaincy task. Kishwer emerged as the winner of the task, thereby becoming the new captain of the house.

Suyyash Rai, who was the captain of the house, was asked to monitor the captaincy task and declare the winner based on the contenders' performances. Further, the buzz is that during the captaincy task, there was a clash between Prince, Kishwer and Suyyash.

The upcoming episode will also see the entry of third wild card contestant Kanwaljeet Singh, a well-known fashion designer.

Meanwhile, in the last episode, Mandana blasted Rochelle for betraying her despite the latter trying to reason with her that it was a task and that she had to bitch about Mandana in order to save herself from elimination. But Mandana affirmed that the game was about exposing the reality of the housemates.

Bigg Boss 9: From kids wreaking mayhem to an unwilling Rimi

Who wouldn't love the idea of going back to their childhood? Last night, the Bigg Boss contestants got just the opportunity to turn into little rascals. A fun task to celebrate Children's Day saw Rochelle, Rishabh, Kishwer and Prince acting as troublesome toddlers left in a day care centre. Trust these four to cause chaos in the house. Perhaps this is the reason Mr Bigg decided to put them in one team. Aman, Digangana, Suyyash and Mandana were the teachers at the day care centre. The task was simple; the children had to use all means possible to make their teachers lose their cool. The test of patience would be judged by a supervisor, Rimi.

As mayhem ensued with the "kids" running around in diapers, chucking dirt, screaming on the top of their voices and creating a racket, their handlers found it amusing rather than irritating. Digangana kept her calm and displayed her exceptional nanny skills , even after being pushed into the swimming pool by Prince. Aman proved to be an admirable gentle teacher and Mandana, who was ill today, was one of those substitute teachers who is usually ignored.

It would perhaps have been easier to make Rimi the annoying kid today given that she is already testing the patience of many contestants in the house with her lack of interest. After proving to be a liability for most of the teams she has been in the past, Bigg Boss has been assigning her job of a neutral task supervisor in the recent tasks. But the unwilling actor refused to perform this role as well. Begging and pleading by the housemates also couldn't deter Rimi from her mission of being evicted from the house. Finally, captain Suyyash took away her mattress as punishment. But given Rimi's personality, she will hardly protest this act as well. We hope Rimi's prayers are answered soon!

The task will continue again tonight with the roles being reversed. Given the unique talent of the contestants turning every fun task into a war zone like situation, we already know that this task too will be no child's play. The webspace is also abuzz with the rumours of a sudden eviction, and it's not Rimi. After Keith's exit, we wouldn't want any more of our favourites to leave.

Bigg Boss 9 update: Keith to come back in the house with another girl?

Keith Sequeira fans, here's good some news! The model will soon be back in the game, according to host Salman Khan.

After conducting a majorly needed grilling session of inmates Kishwer Merchantt and Prince Narula, during last night's episode of Bigg Boss 9, host Salman Khan revealed something that interested Rochelle Maria Rao the most in the house.

The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actor shared the big news about Keith Sequeira returning to the house soon. The model had to leave the Bigg Boss house due to the untimely demise of his younger brother, Ian Sequeira. Asking his girlfriend and fellow housemate, Rochelle to stay strong in his absence, Keith wasted no time in returning to his family in Delhi.

However that wasn't the only piece of news Salman shared during last night's episode. He also teased Rochelle by saying that Keith will come back in the house soon 'with another girl'.

With the knowledge of her boyfriend's return added to her lack of eviction, the day surely ended on an exciting note for Rochelle. When the announcement about Keith's exit was made, everyone was skeptical about how the former beauty queen would fare in the house, now that her boyfriend wasn't around. The tables seem to have turned, as Keith's absence only gave Rochelle a chance to prove her mettle on the show.

Bigg Boss 9: Fight with Kishwer and Suyyash leaves Rochelle in tears!

Bigg Boss' Diwali task saw a huge mayhem inside the house when the two teams could not come to common consensus, leading to a heated argument between Kishwer-Suyyash and Rochelle.

It's Diwali time inside the Bigg Boss 9 house. All the contestants are given a task in which they need to perform entertaining acts and they are divided into two teams. 

Rimi and Rochelle have to perform individual dances and the two start preparing their acts. That is when Suyyash plans to do a cameo in Rimi's performance and this irks Rochelle. The two teams go overboard and fight over this. Kishwer and Rochelle raise their voices and end up crying. 

Soon enough, all the other contestants join in the mayhem and what we have is a riot in place of the fun task. The whole house starts fighting with each other due to minor disagreements and issues. The situation becomes ugly and the two teams don't want to see eye to eye with each other. 

Thankfully, Aman plays the pacifier and requests everyone to stop fighting because it's Diwali. The two teams finally come to a consensus and perform their acts with vigor and enthusiasm. Like they say, all is well that ends well in the Bigg Boss house! 

Why Bigg Boss 9 pushes the right buttons of its viewers

Viewers may feel they know the Bigg Boss format all too well by now. But the show, in its ninth edition now, never ceases to surprise even its most ardent fans with the number of twists and turns it has in store for us.

Mind games seem to be the speciality of the Bigg Boss house. When house politics isn't enough to keep us entertained, Bigg Boss brings in a series of challenges that leave most on the edge of their seats. Last night was one of those times.

Free at last?

Kishwar and Aman were asked to go into a Double Trouble room that will be a permanent fixture in the house, as revealed by Bigg Boss. The room consists of two sound blocking cubicles where both of them were required to make certain decisions independently without the other knowing his/her decision. This decision would impact the housemates outside as well.

What happened next perhaps took Aman back to his Khullja Sim Simdays when he provided others with three options, whereby a contestant had to guess the winning option. Quite similarly, both were handed a button and told that they along with other housemates would be free from their harnesses if they pressed it. The only catch was:

1) If only one pressed the button, everyone was freed from their jodis.

2) If they both pressed it, others would be freed but they would still remain tied to each other.

3) If they both do not press the button, they along with another jodi would stay jodidars while others would be free.

This had to be done in less than three minutes. As Aman immediately pressed the button, we waited for Kishwar, who seems rather impulsive, to make her decision. Surprisingly, she stayed away from the button leading to freeing all the housemates from the "Bandhan". What followed next seemed like a couple of prisoners being granted premature release. Newly liberated from their bonds, we were happy to see the house collectively elated.

Later in the day, Captain Kishwar, was handed a couple of placards that held an adjective for different housemates. Kishwar was required to give the most fitting adjective to each, which had to be worn across the neck by the contestant for the day. While one got "Boring" and another "Entertaining", it was the title of "Nakli" that got everyone talking. "Nakli" or fake was ultimately given to a sick Mandana who took it without making much fuss.

Call it product placement or just a ludicrous task but the housemates were given a smartphone (that is also a sponsor of the show) along with a selfie stick. All that was required of them was to take a selfie in the teams they were divided in, without getting a member from the other team in the frame. A simple task turned the house into a warring zone. Pushing, shoving and crying foul, one would think it was possibly an intense game of rugby instead of a harmless selfie session. Alas, one team won the absurd selfie contest, leaving the others with a bruised ego and body literally.

At wee hour when the entire house is asleep, Suyyash and Prince are seen toiling at the Lagaan task to earn few extra brownie points. As people wake up to ‘Chakkar Ghumiyo’ they are dreading the thought of churning flour under the scorching sun.

Meanwhile, determined at dutifully meting out his responsibility, Arvind tries to keep a watch but falls asleep on the park bench. Rimi declares that she wants to give up because she has lost the will power to push herself through the task while others are in agreement with her. Tired by the arduous Lagaan task, the contestants are coming up with innovative techniques to win the task and end their ordeal. Rochelle and Mandana are trying hard to sustenance and continue with the task. At the same time, they also discuss how Yuvika is wasting too much time while making paranthas.

Bigg Boss has a conversation with Keith about their performance after which Keith comes up with an idea of stealing coins from the pot. While everyone is contemplating this thought, Suyyash decides to opt out as he cannot betray his zamindaar girlfriend Kishwer. Taking this thought forward, Mandana and Keith let go off all inhibitions and steal the coins. Claiming that they are helpless and 'fugly', Mandana is chanting the slogan 'Zamindaar Murdabad, Fugly Log Zindabad'. She is also seen dancing with joy at the thought of winning against the zamindaars… or is it just the thought of seeing Kishwer in distress ?

At the same time, other contestants are guilty about stealing the coins from zamindaars as their conscience begins to prick them. As a team, the housemates arrive at a consensus of returning the coins to the zamindaars and also apologizing them. Mandana is evidently upset with this decision and insists on counting all the coins before returning them. Furthermore, the conversation takes a steep route and turns into a heated argument between Mandana and the other housemates. Furious and annoyed Mandana removes her belt and mike and throws it away mentioning that she is always on everyone’s radar in the house. Adamant about not losing the luxury budget at Mandana’s cost, housemates appeal to Bigg Boss to convince Mandana to follow the rules. 

The never ending drama, fights and a boatload of backbiting takes a toll on Mandana and she falls ill to an extent that she is put on saline under doctor’s supervision. Looking at Mandana’s situation, vulnerable Rochelle breaks down and prays for her recovery. To everyone’s relief, Bigg Boss announces end of the task as the action-packed day comes to an end.

He was also targeted on eating cornflakes thrice a day which was not liked by others. Aman also backfired saying thatSuyyash-Prince also break rules by talking in Punjabi all the time. Kishwar joins both Suyyash-Prince and the trio have fun together targeting Aman.

'Bigg Boss 9': Prince Narula in demand as contestants now wish to pair up with him

Day five of "Bigg Boss 9" was comparatively less dramatic than the previous day. The major highlight of the episode was the golden opportunity given to the contestants to exchange their partners.

The day started with Roopal Tyagi talking about her ex-boyfriend Ankit Gera with Digangana Suryavanshi. She reveals how living with him inside the house is tough for her. While she cannot trust Ankit anymore, she mentions that she still has a soft corner for him.

Bigg Boss announced that the best performers of the budget task -- Kishwer Merchantt-Aman Verma and Vikas Bhalla-Yuvika Chaudhary -- would get their bags back and the couples were overjoyed about it. 

Later, Bigg Boss gave the housemates an opportunity to make an appeal to the captainjodi -- Vikas and Yuvika -- to exchange their partners with a preferred partner. However, only two jodis were allowed to change their partners.

While most of them refused to swap as they were comfortable with their pairing, Rimi Sen-Suyyash Rai and Aman-Kishwer requested for a partner exchange. But Bigg Boss rejected Aman-Kishwer's plea as they have been performing the tasks well.

Surprisingly, many contestants wished to exchange their partners with Prince Narula, who was rejected by most of them on the premiere day.

Later, the captains revealed the new jodis of the house -- Prince-Suyyash and Rochelle Maria Rao-Rimi. While the new couples seemed happy with the pairing, how long is the joy going to last? Only time will tell. 

BIGG BOSS 9: DAY 5- Twist in the game: Partners exchanged; 'Rejected' Prince in demand

After much of yesterday’s drama, the housemates are seen sitting together with each other in the common area and having a chat. In the middle of the conversation, Prince reveals are prank that he played as a kid. It was that time when Prince was setting fire to the dried up leaves in the pre-monsoon season.

It was then he saw a long-haired woman was drying her hair and Prince decided lit her long hair. Like seriously? The lady’s hair was lit on fire by Prince. Housemates (and all of us) were really surprised as to how weird can he be!

Bigg Boss announces that since Vikas-Yuvika and Kishwer-Aman will receive their bags back since they were selected as the best performer jodis. It was cute how Vikas was overjoyed on getting his bag back and he immediately changed into his own clothes. Rochelle said that Prince has also performed well in the luxury budget task and he must also get his bag back.

The dancers also introduced the Snapdeal task in which the housemates were required to shop for necessary items. The housemates smartly zero in on certain items including a refrigerator and a microwave.

Partner Exchange

Bigg Boss is seen in a generous mode and hence throws an offer at the housemates with which everyone got super excited. Bigg Boss offered the contestants to exchange their partners if they felt like. The housemates can tell their wish to the captain Jodi Vikas and Yuvika and ultimately the captain Jodi will decide the partner exchange.

Rimi was seen super excited when she heard this news and it was evident with her happiness how bad she wanted not to be tied to Suyyash. When the contestants have a one on one private conversation with the captain Jodi, other housemates are seen roaming around the house freely without being tied to their respective partners.

Most housemates were seen demanding their partner as Prince and the captains were pleasantly surprised as how everyone started to like Prince now when at the time of entering the house, nobody wanted to be tied with Prince.

Finally with mutual consent and a lot of brainstorming, Vikas and Yuvika decide that Prince will become the new partner of Suyyash while Rimi will be tied with Rochelle.

Kishwer and Aman can’t exchange their partners since they were the captain contenders and the strong Jodi out of others.

Bigg Boss 9, Day 5: Bigg Boss has a change of plans for Rochelle Maria Rao and Prince Narula!

Four days have already passed in the Bigg Boss 9 house and the contestants have been forming a very nice bond with their partners as they try to work hard together to win the coveted Bigg Boss title. Though most jodis have been cordial and happy with their partner, a few haven't been. So after the captain task, Bigg Boss announced a new surprise for the inmates.

Two contestant were given a golden opportunity to change/swap their partner. Captains Vikas Bhalla and Yuvika Chaudhary spoke to each contestant one by one and while most of them refused to swap as they were happy with their pair, two contestant pairs - Rimi Sen-Suyyash Rai and Aman Verma-Kishwer Merchantt requested Bigg Boss to swap their partners.

But, Bigg Boss is the ultimate person and he rejected this idea because of the fact that Aman-Kishwer had performed the tasks very well. So captains instructed Prince Narula and Rochelle Maria Rao to swap with Rimi and Suyyash.

So now you will see Rimi and Rochelle together, while Suyyash will be seen with Prince. The other contestants will be in the same pair as earlier and there won't be changes made now.

Everyone was happy after the task today and a lot more twists, turns and surprises.
