Bigg Boss 9: ‘Big Brother’ experience an ‘advantage’ for Priya Malik

Priya Malik, who was part of the Australian version of controversial show "Big Brother", will be seen entering the "Bigg Boss Nau" house as a wild card entrant.

Priya Malik, who was part of the Australian version of controversial show “Big Brother”, will be seen entering the “Bigg Boss Nau” house as a wild card entrant.

She says her experience at the international show will be an “advantage” for her here.

Asked if she was jittery about entering the “Bigg Boss Nau” house, Priya, who is popularly known as Posh Spice of Australian TV told IANS over phone from Lonavla: “I am not jittery at all! In fact, I have been on “Big Brother” (Australia), which is a similar format, if not identical. I think that puts me at an advantage.”

Priya, who is a high school teacher in Adelaide, has her roots in Dehradun. She was part of “Big Brother Australia” in 2014, and is the fourth wild card entry to enter “Bigg Boss Nau”.

She says her “strategy is to not to be afraid of showing who I truly am unless I am Kishwar (Merchant) because that’s not what everyone wants to see.”

The 28-year-old says she doesn’t have any “favourites” in the house and dislikes maximum housemates, who are a mix of showbiz celebrities.

“I don’t have any favourites this season… I’m talking as an audience. The list of people I dislike is a lot longer than the people I like in the house at the moment.

“Other than Rochelle Rao, I do like things about her… Then Keith Sequeira. I like him if he is coming back, and I like Digangana Suryavanshi as there is nothing to dislike (about her); she has done nothing, she’s like a little statue and so I don’t mind a statue,” quipped Priya, who has been living in Australia for the past seven years.

While on “Big Bother” in Australia last year, she reportedly faced severe racial backlash which even escalated to death threats long after getting evicted from the show. Priya has faced bullying and trolled on social media.

Asked who according to her doesn’t deserve to be in the house, Priya said: “Rimi Sen doesn’t deserve to be in the house. It’s really insulting to sign a show and to not be a part of it. I’m going to tell her like it is.”

The show features celebrity contestants in a game of survival wherein they are locked in an isolated house for around three months sans the luxuries they are used to, under 24X7 camera surveillance.

You don’t gain anything but lose on 3 good hours being frustrated as the movie lacks the content and its high on boredom. Watchable purely because of PREM – The Salman Khan; have it been some other star This Diwali Cinema halls would have had it.

With the promos vouching Prem is Back, indeed Prem is back; it could have been great if Mr. Sooraj Barjatya would have been back too. He is still living there in Raja Aur Rank era and gives us a story which seems to be outdated or if not outdated not well crafted in his Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It’s a very potential film gone wrong. Loosely shaped characters, undefined tangent leaves you with the incomplete feeling leaving you disappointed. Thanks to Salman Khans evergreen Charm which holds you till the end.

The director here has done what other directors end up doing with a Salman Khan film. From making the ‘Script’ Hero; He banked upon the ‘Hero’ in the script. Hero succeeds the script doesn’t which goes well with most of the Salman Khan films in the recent past and this one too would indeed rake mullahs at the box office but not in hearts.

Poor Flashback giving no right tangents to the relationships along with slowdown songs; doesn’t make you feel anything for any character other than the Prem for whom our hearts beat since Maine Pyar Kiya Days. The movie banks upon purely on his shoulders.

9 Reasons We Want to Quit Watching Bigg Boss 9 Right Now

Bigg Boss is a one-stop entertainment show for many of us - be it the difficult tasks or cheering for our favourite contestants. However, we are a little disappointed with the current season. Not only has the show lowered its standards with rubbish tasks, but the contestants too are adding fuel to the dismay. Here are 9 things about this season that left us wanting to quit watching the show.

1. Treating contestants as a dog: We all remember how Rishabh, who entered the house as a wild card entrant, started creating a mess in the house. Mandana and Rishabh took the hotel task a tad too seriously. It was humiliating to watch Kishwer being treated as a dog for hours. It's a task but you can always do it with some dignity, which of course didn't occur to these two contestants.

2. Spitting in food is the new low: Of course, the consequence of treating Kishwer as a dog resulted in her spitting ice cubes in Mandana's juice in the hotel task. This resulted in a big spat in the house, as Mandana wanted to leave the house. How can someone go to such low standards for revenge?

3. Bored contestants: Well apart from a few over-enthusiastic contestants like Mandana, Rochelle, Kishwer, Suyyash and Prince, there other contestants who are just lost in the house. Aman, Diangana and Rimi are contestants who are already done with the show, it seems.

4. Physical abuse: Who can forget Mandana kicking Kishwer? Everyone knows that physical abuse is absolutely against the rules, but it seems the anger and rage of the constants is getting over their minds.

5. Creating fights for screen time: We know fights and arguments are the key ingredients of Bigg Boss, but we can't stand the constant nuisance that is being used to grab screen time. Be it Kishwer or Mandana, the constant nagging is boring.

6. No eye-candy: Let's accept the fact after Keith and Yuvika were evicted, there are no pretty faces to watch, in the show. In fact, they were the ones who were calm to take the game just like a game and not make it a house of scream. We need some good new faces in the show.

7. Need more interesting contestants: With just a few contestants in the house, it's time to get some wild card entries. Rushabh has sustained his stay but Puneet was shown the door and was evicted last week. We need some more contestants to add glam and fun, and raise the entertainment quotient. We don't mind Keith coming back to the show.

8. All are pretentious souls: Keith was one contestant who played fair and square, but after his exit due to family reasons, the show seems to have been filled with jokers, who would go to any extent to win the game.

9. Respect and dignity is nowhere to be seen: We know Bigg Boss is one place where you lose it all, but if there is one thing that we can expect the contestants to hold back, it is their own dignity and respect, and give the same to others. But that too seems to have left us in shock!

Is Keith Sequeira already returning to the Bigg Boss 9 house?

After having to exit the reality show because of his brother's demise, Keith Sequeira might just be returning to the house tonight!

One of the most sane and level-headed contestants in the ongoing season of Bigg Boss, VJ-host-model Keith Sequeira left the Bigg Boss 9 house because of the sudden demise of his younger brother, Ian Sequeira.

Bigg Boss 9: Puneet Vashisht accuses Salman Khan of cheating!

Such is the game of Bigg Boss that many times when contestants are evicted from the house, they end up blaming Salman Khan for being biased. But this year, Bigg Boss 9 contestants have done something absolutely new. What? They have started accusing the superstar of rigging votes on the show and calling the shots.

After Arvind Vegda was ousted from the house, he blatantly stated that it's Salman who decides who will be taken out of the show. Although this comment shocked the small screen industry, Puneet Vashisht who was eliminated last week told Bollywoodlife.com, "Everything is finalised according to Salman. I am not saying the show is scripted but you really need to be in the good books of Salman to last on this show! Last year Gautam Gulati won the show because he is so much like a version of Salman. Toh socha hoga haan chalo yeh meri tarah hai and he won!"

Puneet even claims that like last year, this season Salman will choose another favourite contestant of his to lift the trophy. Who would it be? "This year I am so sure Salman is going to make Mandana Karimi win.Although I am no one to judge but according to my reading, she is the biggest two faced woman I have ever seen in my life! She was good friends with me initially but gradually changed sides as per her wish. But Bigg Boss will never focus on that. They’ll only show her side where she is complaining about Kishwer, acting cute or showing her dresses to people around. Nobody is seeing the inner side and everybody is seeing just the outer manipulative side! Ethics wise this is a total s**t show," he added. 

Not just that, Puneet also crossed the line and blatantly blamed Puneet for his exit. "I dunno why Salman doesn’t like me but it was evident! Maybe he couldn’t see my talent selling on the show. I was shocked when I found out that the whole segment where Aman and I performed a talent house task was deleted from the weekend episode. Why would Salman want to sell someone else’s talent on his show? Even my votes weren’t less! I figured out that I got huge support from my people who had actually voted for me. But Salman personally didn’t like me. Or maybe even the channel thought I am not being how they wanted me to be inside the house. They introduced me to create fights, controversies. But after a while, I was like why should I act so fake? I am not such a kind of person and can’t live in lies! So yea, everything came against me but I am glad I am out. Realised a lot of things in that few days stay on Bigg Boss 9.″

All that we say is Puneet, we wish you were a little more mature in your reasonings. After all, it's evident it's just another case of sour grapes. Sadly, even digital ratings show that you were the weakest contestant (vote-wise and popularity-wise) on digital platforms. So it's better you lap up the idea that you certainly aren't the best in everything you do. And coming to the blame-game, you've completely screwed up the idea of doing a film with Salman for sure. After all, we did see how you wagged your tail in front of the actor on the show for a film! 

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Early Advance Booking Report

Salman Khan’s big Diwali release got a five day early advance booking and well, it seems the audiences have started to book their first day first shows. So far, the advance bookings for the first day are around 20-30% already. It has only been one day since the advance bookings commenced and in majority of the cities, the afternoon and evening shows are sold out.

It looks like the Salman Khan film is going to get an extremely wide release with approximately 4500 screens expected. The ticket prices range from 300-600 across the metros. Of course, multiplexes have raised their prices for the late night shows.

We are expecting a housefull board for the first day shows by tomorrow. With this week’s dull releases, there is no other option for cine-goers but to watch the grand family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

CONFIRMED: Puneet and Rishabh to enter Bigg Boss 9 as wild card contestants!

Two top TV actors are the first two confirmed wild card contestants of your favourite show ‘Bigg Boss 9’, says report. ‘Shashtri Sisters’ fame Puneet Vashist and ‘Qubool Hai’ actor Rishabh Sinha will enter the controversial house very soon.

Puneet is a well known name in tinsel town. From Bollywood to television, Puneet has done it all. Some of his key appearances include Shah Rukh Khan’s Josh and Ajay Devgn’s All The Best: Fun Begins. He has worked in many popular TV serials like ‘Kkusum’, ‘Kaahin Kisii Roz’, ‘Lapataganj’ and ‘Fear Files’.

While Rishabh, on the other hand, was a contestant in MTV’s ‘Splitsvilla’ season 5 and later on played the role of Ayan in Zee TV’s hit daily soap ‘Qubool Hai’.

The duo are expected to enter the house on Sunday or Monday.

Earlier there were reports that Hrithik’s elder sister Sunaina Roshan will enter the house  as a wild card contestant.

Bigg Boss 9: Karan Kundra, Shaleen Malhotra and Mahhi Vij visit the house to support and guide their friends

Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 9 is on in full swing. With fights and animosity and jealousy taking centre stage, the show has already become a high voltage drama saga and well, we are loving it. We know how it frustrates contestants to be so cut off from the outside world and we don’t blame them. Now top this up with the plotting and scheming that goes on inside the house and well you have a negligible survival rate. Karan’s MTV connection has brought him in the house to support Prince Narula and Shaleen is going to give some serious tips to his friends Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchantt. Mahhi will be seen giving some advice to Yuvika Chaudhary. The three have already shot for the episode which will be aired tonight.

Bigg Boss 9 Double Trouble Room Brings ‘Good News’ For Housemates; Finally Jodi Breaks! All Thanks To Aman

Bigg Boss 9 contestants got a big relief on Friday as the paired and chained housemates will roam around free inside the house. Apparently contestants are no longer in pairs; all thanks to Aman Verma for pressing the buzzer in the double-trouble room!

Double-trouble room? Yes, there is a secret space in the house which will be revealed on day 12.

The ‘double trouble room’ consists of two sound proof booths. And two contestants will be called into this room every week; they will be asked one question by Bigg Boss. By pressing the buzzer, contestants will answer the question. But here comes the TWIST!

The contestants will be given an option of answering or skipping the question. And this will change the game at every turn.

Kishwar and Aman were the first contestants to enter the double-trouble room while rest of the contestants were witnessing the task through the plasma screen in living area.

Bigg boss had given 3 options to Aman and Kishwar:

If they pressed the button one time all the contestants will be free and no longer linked by a chain.

If they pressed it twice everyone would be free except Kishwer and Aman.

And if they don’t press the button the entire house will be free except for Kishwer and Aman, and one more Jodi of their choice would be in bandhan.

'Bigg Boss 9' Day 17: Mandana calls Suyyash, Prince immature kids

Sleepless nights have become an integral part of the Bigg Boss contestants' lives as the dance task keeps all the housemates awake during odd hours. As a rule, Prince and Suyyash’s supporters are supposed to dance in the designated area to the song ‘Aaj Ki Party’ and ‘Gallan Goodiyan’. The task continues through the night as the contestants are woken up at wee hours to perform the task.

Soon after, the contestants force themselves out of slumber as they are woken up to ‘Mai Khiladi, Tu Anari’. After Prince and Kishwer’s fallout the previous night, the race of captainship gets more intense. Mandana mentions to Keith and Rochelle that it doesn’t matter to her that who becomes the captain of the house. In her eyes, both Prince and Suyyash are like immature kids. Yuvika and Vikas talk about unceremonious fight between Prince and Suyyash and how they have reached a stage where they can’t see each other eye to eye. Mandana joins in this conversation and says that she is supporting Suyyash only because she wants to make peace with Kishwer and him.

As the day progresses, Rochelle and Mandana are seen having a conversation when Mandana calls Prince fake. Rochelle defends Prince by saying that he became extremely close to Suyyash and Kishwer too soon without knowing them. In all this, Vikas is seen to be in confused state of mind and constantly changing his support. Interestingly, Aman is seen manipulating Prince and using him to play his own game. Meanwhile, Vikas is seen having a discussion with the others about Aman’s devious intentions. He says that Aman should learn to act his own age and play the game grace instead of using dirty tricks.

Finally the moment arrives, when Kishwer is asked to announce the winner of the dance task by Bigg Boss. The winner will get an extra user as a permanent supporter. Prince tells Rochelle that he wants to mend his relationship with Suyyash and wants to stay friends even outside the Bigg Boss house. As the luxury budget task is approaching its end, Prince and Suyyash set out to gather more support and complete the task. Digangana tells Kishwer that she feels that Prince will change for worse if he becomes the captain of the house.

As Kishwer’s captaincy is coming to an end, she makes fun of the contestants breaking the rules of the house. Kishwer goes into a care free zone and also ends up fighting with Rochelle over coffee. Rochelle gets miffed with Kishwer for mispronouncing her name and unnecessarily taunting her during coffee discussion. Keith tried to calm Rochelle down when she tells Keith and she will also make a nasty comment if next time Kishwer messes around with her name.

As the day comes to an end, Bigg Boss calls out everyone to gather in the living room and gives them a piece of his mind. Bigg Boss tells the contestants that he is highly disappointed with their luxury budget task performance and does not appreciate how they give up on every task. Bigg Boss asks the contestants to up their game as the game is going to get difficult from hereon. The day ends with Keith having a conversation with Prince over his concern for Rochelle. Keith requests Prince to take care of his girlfriend in his absence. As the lights go off, Rochelle and Keith are seen talking about Mandana’s growing fondness towards Kishwer and Suyyash and how she is switching sides at drop of a hat.

Why Bigg Boss 9 pushes the right buttons of its viewers

Viewers may feel they know the Bigg Boss format all too well by now. But the show, in its ninth edition now, never ceases to surprise even its most ardent fans with the number of twists and turns it has in store for us.

Mind games seem to be the speciality of the Bigg Boss house. When house politics isn't enough to keep us entertained, Bigg Boss brings in a series of challenges that leave most on the edge of their seats. Last night was one of those times.

Free at last?

Kishwar and Aman were asked to go into a Double Trouble room that will be a permanent fixture in the house, as revealed by Bigg Boss. The room consists of two sound blocking cubicles where both of them were required to make certain decisions independently without the other knowing his/her decision. This decision would impact the housemates outside as well.

What happened next perhaps took Aman back to his Khullja Sim Simdays when he provided others with three options, whereby a contestant had to guess the winning option. Quite similarly, both were handed a button and told that they along with other housemates would be free from their harnesses if they pressed it. The only catch was:

1) If only one pressed the button, everyone was freed from their jodis.

2) If they both pressed it, others would be freed but they would still remain tied to each other.

3) If they both do not press the button, they along with another jodi would stay jodidars while others would be free.

This had to be done in less than three minutes. As Aman immediately pressed the button, we waited for Kishwar, who seems rather impulsive, to make her decision. Surprisingly, she stayed away from the button leading to freeing all the housemates from the "Bandhan". What followed next seemed like a couple of prisoners being granted premature release. Newly liberated from their bonds, we were happy to see the house collectively elated.

Later in the day, Captain Kishwar, was handed a couple of placards that held an adjective for different housemates. Kishwar was required to give the most fitting adjective to each, which had to be worn across the neck by the contestant for the day. While one got "Boring" and another "Entertaining", it was the title of "Nakli" that got everyone talking. "Nakli" or fake was ultimately given to a sick Mandana who took it without making much fuss.

Call it product placement or just a ludicrous task but the housemates were given a smartphone (that is also a sponsor of the show) along with a selfie stick. All that was required of them was to take a selfie in the teams they were divided in, without getting a member from the other team in the frame. A simple task turned the house into a warring zone. Pushing, shoving and crying foul, one would think it was possibly an intense game of rugby instead of a harmless selfie session. Alas, one team won the absurd selfie contest, leaving the others with a bruised ego and body literally.

Bigg Boss 9': Keith Sequeira's ex-wife Samyukta Singh to enter show; will this affect Rochelle Rao?

"Bigg Boss 9" contestant Keith Sequeira is having a tough time on the show -- with his girlfriend Rochelle Rao on one side and partner Mandana Karimi on the other.

However, rumours have been doing the rounds that the show-makers plan to raise the drama quotient and create further troubles for Keith by introducing his ex-wife and actress Samyukta Singh on the show.

"The makers feel Samyukta's presence will heighten the tension in the 'Bigg Boss 9' house. However, she is yet to decide if she should take on the offer. In case she does, it will come as a shock to Keith and Rochelle," a source told Mid-Day.

According to reports, Keith and Samyukta were married for around seven years before they parted ways. The duo had been dating before Keith established himself as a VJ.

Samyukta played the lead in 1994 release "Salaami" opposite Ayub Khan. Although the film bombed at the box office, Samyukta is best remembered for the film's song "Chehra Kya Dekhte Ho", which was a chartbuster.

Recently, she was in news for leading a campaign against the killing of stray dogs in Kerala. Samyukta is TV actress Natasha Singh's sister, who was part of popular series "Dekh Bhai Dekh". 

If Samyukta agrees to be a part of the show, it would surely increase the tension inside the mad house and entertain viewers with juicy gossips.

Additonally, if Keith mends his differences with ex-wife during her stay in the house, will it affect his girlfriend Rochelle, who is already insecure with Keith's closeness with partner Mandana? Only time will tell.

Salman Khan convinced Daisy Shah to do Hate Story 3

Shedding her girl-next-door image, Daisy Shah will be seen in a bold avatar in Hate Story ” and the actress feels it landed into her kitty just because superstar Salman Khan pushed her to do something different. Daisy was seen opposite Salman in the 2014 action drama Jai Ho. ”I had taken a back seat but Salman was the one who really pushed me for the film… He said I should do this because the film is completely different from Jai Ho,” Daisy told reporters here. The actress was speaking at the trailer launch of Hate Story 3, which also stars Sharman Joshi, Karan Singh Grover and Zarine Khan.
The 31-year-old actress, who made her Bollywood debut as a bubbly girl opposite Salman, said she was aware that the shift to erotic-thriller was not a “safe” choice. ”As an actor, one should be open to all kinds of roles. This is something I have pushed myself further with. This is not a safe zone but I wanted to try it and I did it.” Zarine, who also made her debut with the Dabangg star in Veer, said Salman was not aware for a long time that she was doing Hate Story 3.”Honestly, I don’t think he knew for the longest that I was doing this film…”

The actress, who appeared in the song Character Dheela and starred in Houseful 2, was initially sceptical to sign the film, directed by Vishal Pandya. ”I was very skeptical in the beginning. But then I met Vishal and he narrated me the script. Over a period of time we became really good friends and I think he has great convincing powers. But yes, in the beginning I was a little skeptical.”
Written by Vikram Bhatt and Madhuri Banerji, the film is a sequel to Pandya’s 2014 thriller Hate Story 2 and third instalment of the franchise. Hate Story 3 is scheduled to release on December 4.

'Bigg Boss 9': Viewers want Arvind Vegda to get eliminated this week

While the evicted contestant's name will be revealed only on Sunday by host Salman Khan, viewers want Gujarati singer Arvind Vegda to be eliminated.

"Bigg Boss 9" double trouble has contestants in pairs and they have been nominated in pairs. Four pairs have been nominated for the first eviction and they are Rimi Sen-Suyyash Rai, Yuvika Chaudhary-Vikas Bhalla, Arvind Vegda-Ankit Gera and Roopal Tyagi-Digangana Suryavanshi.

IBTimes India conducted a poll asking who among the eight nominated contestants should be evicted from the "Bigg Boss" house this week. And the poll result isn't surprising at all.

Gujarati singer Arvind Vegda received maximum votes, followed by "Dhoom" actress Rimi Sen and 'princes' Digangana Suryavanshi. Around 26% people voted for Arvind. 

Arvind, who is known for the "Bhai Bhai" song, has made it to the headlines because of his snoring problem. The loud snoring of -- Arvind and Vikas – disturbed the sleep of almost all the contestants from day one. Contestants even nominated Arvind and Vikas because of their snoring problem.

Well, it looks like that not only the contestants but even audiences' sleep have been spoiled because of his snoring problem and thus they want to see him out of the house. But will he bid adieu to the show this week or will someone else leave the house?

We can just wait for "Weekend Ka Vaar" with Salman episode to know who will get evicted this week.

The weekend special episode, hosted by Salman, will be aired at 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

When the housemates are seen indulged in their work, suddenly the entry door opens and a lot of dancers enter the house to celebrate the festival of Navratri by doing garba. Suddenly everyone’s energy levels go high and they are seen dancing along with them.

The dancers also introduced the Snapdeal task in which the housemates were required to shop for necessary items. The housemates smartly zero in on certain items including a refrigerator and a microwave.

Partner Exchange

Bigg Boss is seen in a generous mode and hence throws an offer at the housemates with which everyone got super excited. Bigg Boss offered the contestants to exchange their partners if they felt like. The housemates can tell their wish to the captain Jodi Vikas and Yuvika and ultimately the captain Jodi will decide the partner exchange.

Rimi was seen super excited when she heard this news and it was evident with her happiness how bad she wanted not to be tied to Suyyash. When the contestants have a one on one private conversation with the captain Jodi, other housemates are seen roaming around the house freely without being tied to their respective partners.

Most housemates were seen demanding their partner as Prince and the captains were pleasantly surprised as how everyone started to like Prince now when at the time of entering the house, nobody wanted to be tied with Prince.

Finally with mutual consent and a lot of brainstorming, Vikas and Yuvika decide that Prince will become the new partner of Suyyash while Rimi will be tied with Rochelle.

Kishwer and Aman can’t exchange their partners since they were the captain contenders and the strong Jodi out of others.
