BIGG BOSS 9: DAY 3- Suyyash's anger, Mandana's nakhre and a love story!

Day 3 of Bigg Boss started with the enthusiastic ring of Tattad Tattad and Bhai Bhai alarm to wake everyone up in a jolly mood.

Further, Yuvika and Prince are sitting and chatting about rest of the contestants. Whats interesting is that Prince is seen expressing interest in Yuvika with his mannerism and behaviour. He tells Yuvika as to how he gets negative vibes from Aman, Kishwer and Suyyash. Prince is also seen standing by Yuvika when she was having a problem with the paranthas. He supported her by doing multitasking as well. Is that what we can call budding love or just healthy flirtng?

The third day also started with much irritation in a contestant that’s ultimately leading them in dark shade by other contestants.

Mandana’s mood is starting to take a backseat when she is seen telling partner Keith how his girlfriend Rochelle needs to take a chill pill and that she is not here to break them up!
She is also seen fuming at Aman when he is playfully stopping her from punching him.

The phobia task didn’t end as yet if you thought so. Bigg Boss announced that the luxury budget will be delegated to the pair who wins the challenge.
The next jodi had to face the fear of music i.e. Melophobia. Suyyash and Rimi was asked to chose a pair and they selected Kishwer and Aman for  the same. In this yet another weird task, the contestants had to play the mouth organ inside a dead fish’s mouth.

Kishwer and Aman did the task decently but it sure looked disgusting.

Again, Yuvika and Vikas were asked to select a pair for facing another task (read yikes) that was Trichophobia (the fear of hair). In this task, Kishwer and Aman has to put a shampooed hair mask on their face for five minutes.

Next phobia is the fear of needles or Trypanophobia that was given to Rimi and Suyyash by Roopal and Digangana. Now, this required making a permanent tattoo of ‘Bigg Boss’ on their hands.

The tattoo being there for the rest of their lives, Rimi refused at first but when Suyyash got a little pissed with her unsporting attitude, she wanted to know the size. Suyyash stands by her and asks Bigg Boss the size of the tattoo to which Bigg Boss doesn’t respond. Upon understanding that the size of the tattoo is too big for their comfort, Suyyash throws a hissy fit saying that the font and size is not acceptable to them. Suyyash is almost on the verge of losing his temper and both of them raise the white flag and come out.

Suyyash made a comment on Mandana at the time of the task but when he came out Mandana was seen taunting him about the same. Later, she broke down to which Suyyash apologised like a gentleman and was seen crooning a song to make her feel better!

Mandana’s nakhre

Mandana Karimi is starting to feel really cornered with the things happening in the house. She was firstly seen making an issue of having to sleep anywhere within a kilometre’s radius near Vikas and Arvind due to their snores. Everyone told her that everyone has to adjust in the house but she was stern on her point.

Kishwer, Suyyash, Aman, Arvind and Ankit make fun of Mandana

To Mandana’s disagreement of adjusting in the night at the time of sleep, Kishwer is seen informing Suyyash in a funny way about what Mandana said. Kishwer is again seeing making fun of Mandana in front of Suyyash, Aman, Arvind and Ankit by talking in Mandana’s accent to make fun of her. All of them share a laugh together.

The seeds of frustration and stubbornness have already started popping and now it’s really going to affect Rochelle in the next episode. The sparks of an ugly fight are already started in the house.

Bigg Boss 9: Day 2 - Contestants go through Double Trouble of Phobias!

Bigg Boss had a grand premiere on Sunday night and the 14 contestants have now been segregated into seven pairs for the show. The pairs are as follows -Roopal Tyagi and Digyangana Suryavanshi, Kishwer Merchant and Aman Verma, Suyyash Rai and Rimi Sen, Vikas Bhalla and Yuvika Choudhary, Rochelle Rao and Prince Narula, Mandana Karimi and Keith Sequeira, Arvind Vegda and Ankit Gera. And it's time for Double Trouble to hit the house. This week's weekly task was announced and the contestants have to go through a series of challenges where they have to overcome different phobias. Are they ready? Let's find out what they did inside the house!

Arvind sacrifices!

Early to bed, early to rise, makes the man healthy, wealthy and wise. Arvind Vegda is sacrificing his health, and wisdom for the sanity of the other housemates. Realising that his loud snores are disturbing the housemates’ peaceful sleep, he makes the decision of staying up all night to ensure that the rest of the house gets a good night’s sleep. Going to bed only after everyone is sound asleep, Arvind’s generous sacrifice got the empathy of the housemates. Making arrangements to ensure that he sleeps well, the housemates mutually agree that they will take turns to sleep next to his bed.

Digangana and Roopal upset?

As the clock strikes 8, the housemates are woken up to ‘Bachke Tu Rehna’ indicating that the days ahead are going to be tough from here on. The housemates are seen discussing about delegation of work when the topic of Digangana and Roopal being inactive crops up. Digangana and Roopal take this comment to heart and go on a cleaning spree. The two are seen scrubbing each and every corner of the washroom and discussing how they are feeling left out while others are having a good time.

Ankit taunts Roopal!

Adding fuel to the fire, Ankit ends up taunting Roopal indirectly while speaking to Digangana. Roopal choses to avoid Ankit’s comments and continues with her job.

First weekly budget task!

Later, Bigg Boss announces the very first budget task of the season that revolves around phobias where one pair elected by Bigg Boss has to challenge another pair to perform the task. The first jodi to take the hit are Roopal and Digangana. Challenged by Prince and Rochelle, Roopal and Digangana face Omphalophobia (fear of belly buttons). The next couple to be challenged by Keith and Mandana are Ankit and Arvind who brave Globophobia (fear of balloons). The third phobia is Obesophobia (fear of becoming fat) and soldiers Yuvika and Vikas marched into the den after being challenged by Aman and Kishwer. Refusing to conquer Peladophobia (fear of becoming bald), Suyyash comes out of the activity room disheartened after Rimi refuses to take up the task. When Bigg Boss gives the rest of the housemates an opportunity of performing the task, there is nobody willing to jump in and save the day!

Love stories

Meanwhile, the four lovebirds of the house are revealing their love story to the inmates of the house. Suyyash and Kishwer announce that they have plans of getting hitched after their Bigg Boss stint. Comparatively new in the field of love, Rochelle and Keith also are seen recounting their love saga.

Baatein.. aur baatein!

Later in the day, Vikas and Yuvika are seen discussing about the household chores and how everyone is pin pointing Yuvika for her less participation. Vikas gets protective and tells Yuvika that he is on the brink of losing his cool and would not think twice before giving it back to the housemates. Keith and Mandana also join in the conversation but Vikas refuses to divulge any details.

Mandana- the hot favourite?

Rochelle is seen giving Keith a pedicure while Keith gives Mandana a relaxing massage on her back. Rochelle tells Keith that how he would not have gotten pampered had she not been in the house. Further, Mandana also receives a back massage from Prince and she announces how she loves “this Double Trouble”. Seen spending quality time near the pool together, Mandana and Keith are in a philosophical mood while the rest of the housemates are indoors.

On the couch!

As the day comes to an end and lights go off, Arvind and Ankit decide to put an end to the snores fiasco and sleep on the living room couches hoping that everyone will now get a peaceful sleep.

What the first episode of Bigg Boss 9 tells us

Bigg Boss works on a tried and tested formula that is predictable to say the least. Throw in a couple of characters together in a garish-looking house and wait for their personalities to run the show. The makers have taken a cue from The Addam’s Family perhaps.

The first day in any Bigg Boss season has been the day for the contestants to analyse each other’s behaviours while marking their territories strategically. Here, the viewer gets a glimpse of the contestant he would be vouching for in the three successive months. This season is no different.

The shredded suitcase

An eventful first day saw the suitcases of half of the contestants being gobbled up by a giant shredder. The shreds that came out of the other end may or may not deceive the viewers to believe that those suitcases were indeed minced, but it was enough for Rupal (who otherwise looked tougher) to break into tears, leaving the others perplexed. What followed was a rather comical dilemma of jodi-sharing outfits. A sporting Keith Sequiera went on a gender bender and sashayed in model Mandana’s clothes. Though it may seem all fun and games right now, it won’t be long when the "sharing is caring" mantra may soon turn to test the patience of the contestants.

Trouble in paradise

Bringing in couples to the show and turning them on each other is a sure shot formula to rake in TRPs. This time round, trouble seems to be brewing in Rochelle’s paradise. Just so her goofy boyfriend forgets, Rochelle clearly (as much as her fragmented Hindi could allow) dropped hints indicating Keith to maintain a distance with the Iranian stunner Mandana Karimi as he was giving a reason for the media to talk.

The snoring genie

There was no rest for the weary contestants at night courtesy a snoring genie, err Arvind Vegda. The quirky contestant, it seems, does not only have a penchant for singing out loudly, he is also skilled at snoring the loudest, much to the chagrin of his fellow housemates. Oddly, without much talking, Arvind and his partner, Ankit, were the first to be nominated because of the nocturnal performance of his nasal cavity.

The case of the missing fridge

While the case of the disturbed sleep kept much of the contestants occupied throughout the day, one soon realised that a fridge was missing from the house. Another (Rimi Sen) noticed there weren’t any washing machines. Rimi, a self- proclaimed peace lover with exceptional tolerance, turns out to be the in-house auntyji who loves to gossip. Meanwhile, Prince Narula who has fashioned himself after last year’s winner Gautam Gulati, the typical Funjabi who has clearly decided he is the winner, warned his simpleton partner about potential strong jodis around them (Aman and Kishwar).

While the housemates may still be getting acquainted with each other, we are happy to be back in the Bigg Boss house and have already made ourselves comfortable with the new crop this season, waiting for the same old drama to unfold.

Why Mandana Karimi has already put everyone in Bigg Boss 9 to shame

The Iranian beauty has become the queen of conflict in merely three days.

The creative team behind Bigg Boss meticulously designed a series of bizarre fear factor style luxury budget tasks that failed to grab our attention in this episode. The reason; Mandana Karimi.

The model dominated much of the screen time last night with her antics and had a huge list of complaints against half her housemates. Karimi who loves to call a spade, a spade was particularly "on edge" (as her partner Keith put it) owing to disturbed sleep the previous night due to Arvind Vegda's incessant snoring.

But, the Iranian who does not like her sleep disturbed decided to vent out her frustration on other contestants. Here is a list of everyone who found a place in Mandana's Burn Book:

1. Aman Verma - For grabbing her hand when she punched him playfully.

2. Rimi Sen - For being a non-compliant partner to Suyyash.

3. Suyyash - For calling her a "firangi with an accent" whom the cameras love.

4. Rochelle - For blaming her for distancing her from boyfriend Keith.

5. Digangana/Roopal (Either one of the "Chotis") - For not contributing to chores and "having an opinion about everything" .

Mandana, who is already ruling the social media in India in merely three days of joining Bigg Boss has also become the queen of conflict inside the house already. As she displayed fifty shades of irritating, she even managed to overshadow Suyyash's rebellion against Bigg Boss by walking out of a task that required him to get "Bigg Boss" tattooed permanently over his arm.

While the contestants provided a solution of a shift and rotate system at night to avoid the disturbing snoring, Mandana stayed defiant and all logic seemed to dodge her. She might have mastered the art of turning the camera towards her in the house, and may be on her way towards being a strong contender of winning the show, but she is also turning into a beautiful nightmare for her fellow contestants.
